Some folders are hidden from web listing

Hi,

this problem happened to me a lot of times and never got the hang of it, even when I searched on google. Dunno what happened but when I go to my localhost (127.0.0.1), there are some folders that doesn't appear in the list. FYI, I never added anything in an .htaccess file to do that. I tried removing some folders to see which one had the problem but without any success. Anyone have an idea what the problem is ?
