Hi, I have problem when I am installing joomla ( old , new version , I tried everyone ) ... When I write all data to login ( root , localhost ...) It all freeze and after few secons loading I see only white page ... Can be problem with User permission on Windows 7 ?? because something i see error lof , that i have no permission to do with something ( when i copy file or like that )

Hello sir,
I am using the following command in my php scripts.

$connect = mysql_connect("localhost","root","");

But during execution I am getting an error as

Where to find previous version 5.3.3 to download ? (3 replies)

So i download the latest version of EasyPhp 5.3.3.1... install great i am happy.

Then i download the Drupal module (from the EasyPhp website), but it requires "the newest version 5.3.3" and will NOT install even if i browse to the 5.3.3.1 directory.

Now i searched everywhere on the EasyPhp website but previous version is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND? at least it was not obvious to me. So how am i supposed to try out the modules ? Little things do make a difference, no wonder i still love Micro$oft :-)

My EasyPHP installation always returns a readyState of 4 and a status value of 0. The responseText is an empty string. This occurs even on the simplest "Hello world" echo:
echo "Hello world";
?>
I used the default installation and have not changed any execution parameters.

Suggestions appreciated!

I tried modifying the httpd.conf file in EasyPHP-5.33/conf-files and EasyPHP-5.33/apache/conf, but it didn't do anything.

Well i have a problem when using EasyPHP. All was fine when i reinstalled Easyphp to test something. After that i have some php files where there is html code and inside it php commands such as . But when i page is displayed dosen;t recongized it and just dispalys it as it is. Can you help me? I have a webhost and there all are fine.

Hi,

I've just installed EasyPHP under Windows 7 (64 bit).

Help pages and tutorials tell you to place all the files to be served (i.e. .php files) into the www folder inside Program Files/EasyPHP

However, access to the www folder is restricted and you cannot create any file in it unless you use an administrator account. This is probably because it is a sub(sub)folder of the Program Files directory which has restricted access.

How can I change that?
By the way I think the installation program should automatically change permissions of that folder so that it can be written by a regular user, or use by default another folder that is not protected.

Also I tried by editing the httpd.conf file (running the notepad as administrator) and changing the value of DocumentRoot, but I don't know what's the syntax to specify a folder such as C:\www
If I set it to "C:\www" the server fails to start.
If I set it to "C:/www", the server starts, but when I open the browser and go to 127.0.0.1 I get the message "access denied or no index file" (I'm translating it). This doesn't happen when I use the default value of DocumentRoot.

Hi

I developed a site in C:/Program Files (x86)/EasyPHP-5.3.3/www/

When it was finished I put it on line and removed all the files from that directory - so now when I look in C:/Program Files (x86)/EasyPHP-5.3.3/www/ it's empty

but - when I do WEB LOCAL from the EASYPHP taskbar icon ( [127.0.0.1] ) the original site still shows up !

when I look in [127.0.0.1] I've got
DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files (x86)/EasyPHP-5.3.3/"

but when I open C:/Program Files (x86)/EasyPHP-5.3.3/apache/conf/http.conf I've got
DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files (x86)/EasyPHP-5.3.3/www"

I have restarted the server several times

what am I doing wrong ???

When I try to run MySQL from DOS I get the following message:

ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

In addition, when I select MySQL>Start in the EasyPHP window, the traffic light turns yellow but then red again. I am using Windows Vista. When I checked the hosts file, localhost was defined to 127.0.0.1. I tried allowing EasyPHP to have permission to go through the filewall and I opened port 3306 but neither worked.

Hi,

I have an error message "Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in..." when I run one of my php script.

My php.ini files into C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyPHP\apache and C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyPHP\conf_files have 2400 seconds on the line "max_execution_time" but when I run phpinfo() I have always 30 seconds on the line "max_execution_time", I don't understand why? I reboot my computer and reboot EasyPHP many times.

I'm on Windows Seven 64 bits and I have EasyPHP 5.3.3

Hi! I recently added to my webpage that is hosted on a windows dedicated server , a contact page which had a few fields , Name, Phone number and Comment. I use EasyPHP to host my website on the server which run OS XP. I made a php script to receive e-mail that looks like this.

$ip = getenv("REMOTE_ADDR");

$name = $_REQUEST['name'];
$email = $_REQUEST['email'];
$phone = $_REQUEST['phone'];
$submit = $_REQUEST['submit'];

I tested It and works on a dedicated host but on Windows i can't find a smtp server to send me e-mail when someone uses the contact page . Can someone please point out how to make it work , a smtp server or some settings i need to check , i run windows xp on the remote server i have and basically tried every smtp server from google and it still won't e-mail me the contact info i want.

Hi,
I am trying to connect PHP to Oracle without any luck.
When clicking on "php_oci8" (actually in red !) in the extension windows, I get the following error message:
"PHP startup: unable to load dynamic library 'c:\EASYPHP1.3\php\ext\php_oci8.dll' - The specified module could not be found."
Error message is shown twice in a loop.

Now, everything seems to be in place ... The Oracle Instant Install folder (also specific in Windows path) ...
Can someone help ?

I installed easyphp 5.3.3 on xp.It work well about php script.When i log on mysql in commandline and run 'status',it show server and db characterset is latin1.I expect it will be uft8 and i checked my.ini in subdir of easyphp,in it default-character-set was set uft8.I need deal chinese character with mysql and i test in this way but it can't show correct chinese character after i insert these data into a table and show it in commandline with 'select * from'.
How can i change the set of character-set-server?

Hi all,
im trying to start my easyphp server not just as localhost, but for everybody else on the internet.
When I try to run it normally on localhost, its working.
I tried to do that on httpd.conf:

Listen 127.0.0.1:80
Listen 77.125.120.44:443

and on virtualhosts section:

DocumentRoot "${path}/www"

The easyphp returns apache error Apache: unexpected end of Apache !
What should I do?

Hello all,
Installed EasyPHP and everything was running great.
But i accidently deleted the root user in mySQL.
Now i am getting the following error on [127.0.0.1]
#1130 - Host 'localhost' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

I have tried reinstalling easyPHP, but the error still remains.
Please help.

I seem to have EASYPHP installed; Apache seems to be running.

My localhost folder is in fact c:\web.

Dreamweaver demands a TESTING SERVER to see PHP files it creates, but I don't know WHERE to tell Dreamweaver to look for this.

When I try to view the php file I created it opens up the browser (Firefox) but says "file not found". I have at least five separate descriptions from the internet of how to do this but none of them work for me. Yes, I am no doubt stupid .... but stupid people need the most help!

Configuring Dreamweaver -> you have to define the local folder where your files are, the remote folder where they will be displayed on the internet and a testing folder server. It isn't clear to me if these are all the same or not. I have tried various combinations but not managed to see a php file in a browser.

Of courze I am developing a site and everything must for now be on my LOCAL machine, but WHERE?

I am using WIN 7.
I installed EasyPHP 5.3.3. The program start normal, but when i try cu access administration i get the following Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1.
i have run easyphp with administration privilege and also in compatibility but nothing changed.
I do not have another program to run on port 80.
on internet explorer i made a diagnose connection an get this:
