Hi newby here getting started with EasyPhp and Exclise (Galileo).

OS: WinXP Pro (up to date with all the daily patches :) )

Downloaded and installed EasyPhp 5.3.2i, modified the php.ini file to contain the following lines at the bottom of the ini file.

xdebug.remote_enable=1
xdebug.remote_host="localhost"
xdebug.remote_port=9000
xdebug.remote_handler="dbgp"
zend_extension_ts="C:\Program Files\EasyPHP-5.3.2i\php\ext\php_xdebug-2.1.0RC1-5.3-vc6.dll"

Restarted apache, checked the error log, no errors to speak of pertaining to XDebug, but when I run php.exe -m xdebug is not listed under the [Zend Modules].

I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue or if there is some rooking mistake I am making that is obvious to someone out there.

NOTE: I did back up an install the EasyPhp 5.2.10 installation package and then modified the php.ini file to have the following entries at the bottom of the ini file and it did work. I did check to make sure the php version and xdebug version matched (or at least they appear to match on both of my attempts to get xdebug working).

xdebug.remote_enable=1
xdebug.remote_host="localhost"
xdebug.remote_port=9000
xdebug.remote_handler="dbgp"
zend_extension_ts="C:\Program Files\EasyPHP-5.2.10\php\ext\php_xdebug-2.1.0RC1-5.2-vc6.dll"

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong with the 5.3.2i package please let me know I'd would appreciate it or if it isn't supposed to yet work do to version incompatability then that would make sense as well.

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

Hi,

I have a weird problem, running easyPhp on windows XP. Everything works, but about every 10th request or so does not get answered by the apache server. Everything is great, but from time to time the browser stalls and eventually time-outs.

I tried running apache on several ports, with and without windows firewall. Doesn't work. The unanswered requests don't show in the access.log. I can't tell whether the request reach apache (apache problem) or not (some sort of network/windows problem).

BTW, I am running several other servers/services that bind to IP ports that all work fine on this particular machine.

I also have this problem with other apache/WAMP distributions (e.g. XAMPP)

Has anybody ever experienced this behaviour? Any tips?

Thanks,

Can someone tell my how I can run EasyPHP on a USB stick?
I couldn't find any instructions - but it says on the front page that I can run on a USB stick

The installation: does it just unzip files and doesn't do anything else apart from creating shortcuts in startup menu?
So if I wanted on USB, I should copy directory where installation took place?

Thanks
I don't think another web server is using the port - how can I find out?
Blocked by a firewall?
What (generic) steps are there for allowing to run under a firewall?

Hello,

beginner level... I try to configure locally the URL rewriting using easyphp 5.3.2

I have read many forums and it seems that in the file httpd.conf the lines :

#LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
#AddModule mod_rewrite.c

must be active (delete #)

The problem is, I guess, I don't have the second line (#AddModule mod_rewrite.c) in the httpd.conf. When I try to add this line, I have an error from Apache (maybe I don't put it at the right place ?)

I have done a test with a file trouve.html and with file .htaccess under directory www from easyphp. .ht access has the following content :

Order deny,allow
allow from 127.0.0.1
deny from all

Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^nexistepas.html$ trouve.html [L]

I have Windows XP
Thank you very much for your help

Dear developers,

I just downloaded and installed version 5.3.2..

While looking at the html source that arrives in the browser
when I receive a "index of" page,
I have noticed that the beginning of this html is NOT what
the developers expected.
The Apache servers has already generated the:
DOCTYPE
/title
/head
body
Luckily, some browser are very forgiving....
And so am I.

Voilà,
Ma config: EasyPHP
# Apache/2.2.14 (Win32) PHP/5.3.2

No such file or directory".

En fouillant la toile, j'ai trouvé une solution intermédiaire et j'ai changé dans le php.ini la valeur de allow_url_include (initialement à Off)
allow_url_include=On

Du coup, require_once("[localhost];) me trouve le fichier (mais toujours pas require_once("/libs"))
Mais du coup, une autre erreur apparait :
Undefined index: HTTP_USER_AGENT
