Hi,

After i installed EasyPHP 5.3.8 and when I go to phpmyadmin it does not work
"127.0.0.1/home/mysql" , it stay with a blank page!!!!

Any ideas?

I know this is way late but I've just resolved this issue.
In your php.ini file find "error_reporting". Turn it off.
DONE.

In most php.ini files turning a line off is simply done by adding a semi-colon to the beginning of the line you want to turn off.

so find the line:
error_reporting = E_ALL | E_STRICT

and change it to
;error_reporting = E_ALL | E_STRICT

Hello,

I have a recurrent problem with a website that I host on my computer in my company. Here it is : when I restart my computer, the website is no longer accessible to others. Sometime, it takes just one hour or two to be accessible again but some other time, it will take one day.

Have you an idea as to what I did wrong? I'm a total newbie at this!!! Thank you very much!

You may need to map localhost to your IP address (127.0.0.1) which is used to find your Mysql server.

Edit {systemdrive}:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Make sure "127.0.0.1 localhost" isn't commented out with # at the begining of the line!

Thanks but I don't have any other option this is a website that is used at work for my team. I don't have a web server so I need to have the page somewhere that all can access. I know it would be much easier if I could just put in on a windows box. Might I mention we all work from laptops so I can not leave it running on my box.

I Installed Easyphp on a shared network drive. Now I need to be able to access my web from other computers on the network.

I am running a website on this shared drive but I need to display data from a access database that I have ASP coded for but the shared drive can not read a asp file without server technology. any ideas how I can achieve this using easyphp.

With Windows 7, you can try replace "localhost" with "127.0.0.1".

If you don't want to do that, you can edit Windows "host" file and activate localhost entry.

I am using windows 7 and i have installed easyphp.Ordinary php codes are running well but the moment I am trying to connect mysql, I am getting error. I am using the following syntax to connect

$con = mysql_connect('localhost','root','mypassword');

*** I have tried out with mypasswd / mysql and blank as password.
the error I am getting is as follows.

I'm trying to install phpbb3 locally but in the installation process where I enter the database settings I get this error:

Could not connect to the database, see error message below.
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Not sure why is not working, I already created the "test" database.

This is how I have it filled out:
Database Type: MySQL with MySQLi Extension (i don't have the MySQL 4.x/5.x option)
Database server hostname or DSN: localhost
Database server port: 80
Database name: test
Database username: root
Database password: (this is blank)
prefix: phpbb_

please help.
