Hello,

I have some problem to start my EasyPHP.
Always, when I start it, I get the message : an other server use the port or the port is lock by the firewall.

After that i open the easyPHP window and I see that the MySQL server is started and the Apache server not.

I try to change the Apache port configuration in the file httpd.conf.
I replace the ligne Listen 127.0.0.1:80 by Listen 127.0.0.1:86.
It was the same think.

After that, I try to stop my firewall, and it was the same think too.

I looked for wich other server used the port, and I did not find.

My fire wall is AVG.

Have you ever seen the same problem ?
Have you a solution for this ?

Thank you,
MySQL returnerede: Dokumentation

I dont understand what is going on here. But all i keep getting in Firefox is "Connection Interrupted"

Here is my httpd.conf file

# IMPORTANT
# ${path} is used to specify EasyPHP installation path

#
# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:[httpd.apache.org]; for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:[httpd.apache.org];
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
#
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
#
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
# with ServerRoot set to "${path}/apache" will be interpreted by the
# server as "${path}/apache/logs/foo.log".
#
# NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
# instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
# If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which httpd.exe is located
# will be used by default. It is recommended that you always supply
# an explicit drive letter in absolute paths to avoid confusion.

#
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
#
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
# at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
# httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
#
ServerRoot "${path}/apache"

#
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
# directive.
#
# Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
# prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.
#
#Listen 12.34.56.78:80
Listen 127.0.0.1:80
# Secure (SSL/TLS) connections
# #
# # This is the Apache server configuration file providing SSL support.
# # It contains the configuration directives to instruct the server how to
# # directives see <URL:[httpd.apache.org];
# #
# # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# # Pseudo Random Number Generator (PRNG):
# # WARNING! On some platforms /dev/random blocks if not enough entropy
# # is available. This means you then cannot use the /dev/random device
# # because it would lead to very long connection times (as long as
# # it requires to make more entropy available). But usually those
# # platforms additionally provide a /dev/urandom device which doesn't
# # block. So, if available, use this one instead. Read the mod_ssl User
# #SSLVerifyClient require
#
# # Access Control:
# # With SSLRequire you can do per-directory access control based
# # on arbitrary complex boolean expressions containing server
# # variable checks and other lookup directives. The syntax is a
# # mixture between C and Perl. See the mod_ssl documentation
# # for more details.
# #<Location />
# #SSLRequire ( %{SSL_CIPHER} !~ m/^(EXP|NULL)/ \
# # and %{SSL_CLIENT_S_DN_O} eq "Snake Oil, Ltd." \
# # and %{SSL_CLIENT_S_DN_OU} in {"Staff", "CA", "Dev"} \
# #            and %{TIME_WDAY} >= 1 and %{TIME_WDAY} <= 5 \
# #            and %{TIME_HOUR} >= 8 and %{TIME_HOUR} <= 20       ) \
# # or %{REMOTE_ADDR} =~ m/^192\.76\.162\.[0-9]+$/
# #</Location>
#
# # SSL Engine Options:
# # Set various options for the SSL engine.
# # o FakeBasicAuth:
# # Translate the client X.509 into a Basic Authorisation. This means that
# # the standard Auth/DBMAuth methods can be used for access control. The
# # user name is the `one line' version of the client's X.509 certificate.
# # Note that no password is obtained from the user. Every entry in the user
# # file needs this password: `xxj31ZMTZzkVA'.
# # o ExportCertData:
# # This exports two additional environment variables: SSL_CLIENT_CERT and
# # SSL_SERVER_CERT. These contain the PEM-encoded certificates of the
# # server (always existing) and the client (only existing when client
# # authentication is used). This can be used to import the certificates
# # into CGI scripts.
# # o StdEnvVars:
# # This exports the standard SSL/TLS related `SSL_*' environment variables.
# # Per default this exportation is switched off for performance reasons,
# # because the extraction step is an expensive operation and is usually
# # useless for serving static content. So one usually enables the
# # exportation for CGI and SSI requests only.
# # o StrictRequire:
# # This denies access when "SSLRequireSSL" or "SSLRequire" applied even
# # under a "Satisfy any" situation, i.e. when it applies access is denied
# # and no other module can change it.
# # o OptRenegotiate:
# # This enables optimized SSL connection renegotiation handling when SSL
# # directives are used in per-directory context.
# #SSLOptions +FakeBasicAuth +ExportCertData +StrictRequire
# <FilesMatch "\.(cgi|shtml|phtml|php)$">
# SSLOptions +StdEnvVars
# </FilesMatch>
# <Directory "${path}/apache/cgi-bin">
# SSLOptions +StdEnvVars
# </Directory>
#
# # SSL Protocol Adjustments:
# # The safe and default but still SSL/TLS standard compliant shutdown
# # approach is that mod_ssl sends the close notify alert but doesn't wait for
# # the close notify alert from client. When you need a different shutdown
# # approach you can use one of the following variables:
# # o ssl-unclean-shutdown:
# # This forces an unclean shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. no
# # SSL close notify alert is send or allowed to received. This violates
# # the SSL/TLS standard but is needed for some brain-dead browsers. Use
# # this when you receive I/O errors because of the standard approach where
# # mod_ssl sends the close notify alert.
# # o ssl-accurate-shutdown:
# # This forces an accurate shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. a
# # SSL close notify alert is send and mod_ssl waits for the close notify
# # alert of the client. This is 100% SSL/TLS standard compliant, but in
# # practice often causes hanging connections with brain-dead browsers. Use
# # this only for browsers where you know that their SSL implementation
# # works correctly.
# # Notice: Most problems of broken clients are also related to the HTTP
# # keep-alive facility, so you usually additionally want to disable
# # keep-alive for those clients, too. Use variable "nokeepalive" for this.
# # Similarly, one has to force some clients to use HTTP/1.0 to workaround
# # their broken HTTP/1.1 implementation. Use variables "downgrade-1.0" and
# # "force-response-1.0" for this.
# BrowserMatch ".*MSIE.*" \
# nokeepalive ssl-unclean-shutdown \
# downgrade-1.0 force-response-1.0
#
# # Per-Server Logging:
# # The home of a custom SSL log file. Use this when you want a
# # compact non-error SSL logfile on a virtual host basis.
# CustomLog "${path}/apache/logs/ssl_request.log" \
# "%t %h %{SSL_PROTOCOL}x %{SSL_CIPHER}x \"%r\" %b"
#
# </VirtualHost>
# Virtual Hosts
# #
# # If you want to maintain multiple domains/hostnames on your
# # machine you can setup VirtualHost containers for them. Most configurations
# # use only name-based virtual hosts so the server doesn't need to worry about
# # IP addresses. This is indicated by the asterisks in the directives below.
# #
# # Please see the documentation at
# # <URL:[httpd.apache.org];
# # for further details before you try to setup virtual hosts.
# #
# # You may use the command line option '-S' to verify your virtual host
# #
# # Use name-based virtual hosting.
# #
# NameVirtualHost *:8080
#
# #
# # VirtualHost example:
# # Almost any Apache directive may go into a VirtualHost container.
# # The first VirtualHost section is used for all requests that do not

Hi, completely new here, so please go easy on me if this is a stupid question!
I have my website hosted on a linux server and I use some php to find out what webpage I'm on and act accordingly. These functions strip away slashes in the path at times, on the linux server this all works fine; but of course on my local windows computer when I use easyphp, the path is:
C:\Program Files\easyphp 3.0\www\
the functions are not made to remove backslashes, but forward slashes as per the linux server. Is there an easy way round this without me having to mess around with the functions that work fine online?
Many thanks, in advance for any help.

<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1>
ServerName sub1.maindom
DocumentRoot "D:/www/project/maindom.sub1"
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1>
ServerName maindom
DocumentRoot "D:/www/project/maindom"
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1>
ServerName localhost
DocumentRoot "D:/www"

Solution to the "Apache Can't start" issue - Service name to be changed (no replies)

English version:
Hello, I found out the reason and the solution of this issue.

As a reminder, here are the messages in EasyPHP.log (based on my translation of french messages):

DD/MM HH:MM:xx EasyPHP Apache Can't install service: Specified file can't be found. (2)
DD/MM HH:MM:xx EasyPHP Apache Cannot run server : Specified service doesn't exist as an installed service. (1060)

What happens is that EasyPHP3.0 expects the Apache service to be named "Apache2".
However, when installing with default options, Apache sets its service name to "Apache2.2".
That's why EasyPhp3.0 can not find it and launch it (or stop it if it's already running)
The solution is to open a console and 1) to uninstall Apache with the default name 2) to install it with the proper command-line setting to force the proper name.

In the console :
-----------------

C:\>"C:\Progra~1\EASYPH~1.0\Apache\bin\apache.exe" -k uninstall
Removing the Apache2.2 service
The Apache2.2 service has been removed successfully.

C:\> "C:\Progra~1\EASYPH~1.0\Apache\bin\apache.exe" -k install -n Apache2
Installing the Apache2 service
The Apache2 service is successfully installed.
Testing httpd.conf....
Errors reported here must be corrected before the service can be started.

C:\>

-----------------------

From now on, EasyPHP3.0 should be able to start/stop services at will.
It seems it works on my computer.
Hope this helps.

----------------

C:\>"C:\Progra~1\EASYPH~1.0\Apache\bin\apache.exe" -k uninstall
Removing the Apache2.2 service
The Apache2.2 service has been removed successfully.

C:\> "C:\Progra~1\EASYPH~1.0\Apache\bin\apache.exe" -k install -n Apache2
Installing the Apache2 service
The Apache2 service is successfully installed.
Testing httpd.conf....
Errors reported here must be corrected before the service can be started.

C:\>

-----------------------

A partir de là, EasyPHP3.0 devrait être capable de démarrer/arrêter les services à volonté. Ca semble fonctionner sur mon ordinateur.
J'espère que ça aide.

Comment peut-on soumettre une amélioration à apporter à easyphp? Est-on entendu?

Hi,
I installed EasyPHP 3.0 and after running it I got message 'Apache2 port (80) is used by "" (inetinfo.exe)'. So I changed the port to 8080 in apache configuration. Then I restarded EasyPHP but the message appeared again and again. After half hour of googling I didn't find any solution so I just tried to set CheckServerPorts to "No" through EasyPHP configuration. And I got it finally running.
My question is, what is the purpose of CheckServerPorts property and why is it set to "Yes" by default.
Thanks.

Hi,

I'm pretty new to scripting with CLI and I have a problem with cURL :)

When I use phpinfo() while in "normal mode" everything is OK:
curl
cURL support enabled
cURL Information libcurl/7.16.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8i zlib/1.2.3

And everything work (I can browse a remote file without any problem, and grab information from a xml file for exemple).

But while using cURL in my CLI script (which is a little "bot" for irc) I have this error "Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init()" so I think i missed something !

I searched on google and didn't find any informations that helps me, so I hope your knowledge will be helpfull :)
(for your information i'm using easyphp 3.0, and i already modified php.ini in order to have curl OK in normal mode at least)

Ps: Sorry for my English

nota: when i make the reverse operation (or use the back up) I get back a normal access (except with phpmyadmin because I have not taken the time to create the adapted access rights -as it was a local test installation I was not using protected env - , according to 3.0 and password datas of my init files, no matters).

Thank's for an idea I test all the solutions and way 5I found into forums) and check up with the informations of this forum.

Thank's for any help , ways to look at.
Remain with the 2.0B1 is not a solution.

I'm on Vista x64, clean install of EasyPHP 3.0, I can't get Apache to start. MySQL doesn't seem to have any issues. Any ideas? Searched for the error code, couldn't find anything.

I am new to Easy PHP and anything related to it.

I have created a new folder 'Header' in my local host's root folder (highlighted in the image below)

[4.bp.blogspot.com]

But I am unable to see it in local host [localhost] . I can see all other folders in the same location (plz refer to the image below), but not the folder 'Header'.

I used the refresh option in the browser (Firefox v 3.0.10). I restarted EasyPHP several times. I closed the browser and refreshed again. Nothing works. Can you help me get rid of this. Or is it a bug ?
