I keep getting that every time I try to access the local host. I have no idea why. x.x Help? For the record, I'm new to PHP/MySQL, so if this is obvious, I apologize.

Hi wiccanwolf,

Does EasyPHP panel shows Mysql as running ?
If not, please double check [php.net] (Windows / PHP5+)
If yes or if the previous hint didn't solve your problem, please send a copy of mysql and apache logs.

How would I check to see if MySQL is running? I know EasyPHP is turned on, but I don't know how to check if MySQL is running. x.x

Open the EasyPHP panel.

There are two lights : one for Apache and one for MySQL.
When a light is green, the service is running ; when it's red, it's offline.

Ok, then can you give a copy of Apache error.log and mysql log ?
They can be accessed through EasyPHP menu / Logs subitem

Consider doing the following steps to minimize the logs size :
* stop Apache & Mysql services
* truncate the logs (open, clear and save)
* restart Apache & Mysql services
* reproduce the operation which generates the error
* copy the logs content in this forum
