Lowercase and upcase discimination

PHP Discriminate between lowercase and upcase characters. Windows doesn't.
My scripts are actually running on my computer with server APACHE under Windows.
The fields in my MySql base are all upcase. When I use the variable for a field call TITRE in the base and titre in the SQL synthaxe,I don't have any probleme now. What append on a server APACHE run under UNIX which discriminate between up and lowercase.
