Problems with prestashop on 5.3.3

Just did a fresh install of vs 5.3.3 with the prestashop module. The install went through without any errors but when I pull up the administration page and try to go in the front office or back office buttons, I get a page that doesn't load. Just the message "Waiting for 127.0.0.1" at the bottom. Any help is appreciated.
