Found two Apache processes, is it normal ?

Hello,

I have actually some disturbs in my system (Win XP SP3).
During the system check up I found that, after launching Easyphp 5.3.2i (actual version in my system), I had two Apache processes running.

Details of starting and restart :
- At the first launch at system starting (not as a service), APACHE crashes because of another process, which one I don't know (server addresses conflict ?, I need to find it)
- so I restart it after everything is started on my system. In this case I obtain two instances of Apache one using near 28Mo another 8Mo
- If I quit easyphp there is no more any process instances of apache
- when I launch again easyphp it starts normally but i get two instances using each one near 18Mo

Is it normal ?
If not where can be the reason ?
If yes what is the reason ?

Correlatively I feel a very slow answer of my local server...

I had too : into separate message, difficulties in solving "localhost" as "127.0.0.1" when ipv6 was activated (I had used for test my system as a server with several wifi cards).

Thank's for your opinion or solution, explanation.

Hi,

OK, an answer YES, but why ? this is interesting. Sometimes there is just one process running.

Best regards
