Easy PHP 5.3.2 - connecting database

When attempting to connect a site to a database in Dreamweaver using the MySql Connection in Easy PHP 5.3.2I, I first get a box entitled ‘Select Database’. There are no options to select in the section of the box that looks as if it is designed to make a selection, (only the word loading …). It is as if a database had not already been loaded, which it had. Then, quite quickly, another box pops up. This one is entitled Testing Database Connection, but again it never produces a result.

Later, when right-clicking on the EasyPHP icon on Desktop, and then selecting Log Files, the following list appears:
Apache Error
Apache Acces
MySql Error
Easy PHP

When selecting the Apache error file, a Notepad pops up stating:
Cannot find the C:\PROGRA~1\EASYPH#1.2I\apache\logs\error.log file.
When selecting the MySql Error, a similar Notepad pops up stating:
Cannot find the C:\PROGRA~1\EASYPH#1.2I\mysql\data\CHRISTOPHER-PC.err file.
(Variations on this theme occur when selecting the other two options.

I am using Windows Vista and Dreamweaver 8. Can you help?
