How to run 2-3 websites in localhost as root

Sir

m working on 2-3 web sites so i want to run all websites as root when i need

currently m running as:
localhost/website-1/index.php
localhost/website-2/index.php
localhost/website-3/index.php


but i want to run all web site on root
localhost-1/website1/index.php
localhost-2/website2/index.php
localhost-3/website3/index.php

is this possible or any other way plzz suggest me

You can use VirtualHosts ;)
