Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1

I installed EasyPHP 530 today. After I bring it up it shows "EasyPHP (started)" in the status message, even Apache & MySQL is showing green light. But when I try to access it through URL,I get "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1." I've not changed any port number and I don't have IIS installed, so there are no chances of port conflict.

EasyPHP log file shows the following:
29/12 16:16:23 EasyPHP EasyPHP Servers starting
29/12 16:16:27 EasyPHP VerifyConfFile : WaitForSingleObject timeout for pid 5128
29/12 16:16:27 EasyPHP Apache2 ServerBase::Start ScanProcess -> 4036
29/12 16:16:27 EasyPHP CreateProcess "C:\EasyPHP\MySql\bin\mysqld.exe --defaults-file="C:\EasyPHP\MySql\my.ini" --language=english"
29/12 16:23:39 EasyPHP OnExplore : C:\EasyPHP\www

I'm running it on Win XP SP3 [32 bit]. I've added EasyPHP & Apache in windows Firewall as well. Any help please.

Do you use any proxy or firewall ?

With Internet Explorer, that's ok ?

No, I don't use any Proxy or Firewall. But the issue had resolved itself. I'm now able to connect. Only action I did is I rebooted my machine after 3 hrs and it seems to be working now.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Amour, when I am in office network the issue persists. Whereas it works fine at my home network. Is there any settings I need to make in the Windows Firewall on my machine ? I am not using any Proxy on my machine.

Into office network, are you with a domain ?
If yes, maybe domain controller send restrictives firewall rules...

Yeah at office I'm in a domain. I have EasyPHP 3 running without any issues on one of the servers in my office though same does not work on my laptop.

The workaround I've found is that I have to start Apache.exe from within Apache folder from a command prompt, then it works. Also when I try to stop Apache from EasyPHP, it always goes into Pending mode.

If you want, you can use Service Mode ;)

You mean enabling 'StartAsService' ? I tried that, but I'm getting "Cannot run server. The specified service does not exists as an installed service (1060)".
