Upgrading only Apache Server from 1.3 to 2.2.13

Hi

I have been using EasyPhp for a few years now and am very happy with it. The easyphp I am using consists of Apache 1.3, PHP 4.3.

I would like to upgrade my apache server and php and mysql individually to the next version without touching my easyphp.exe. I have made some modifications to customize some messages and hence I do not want to touch the easyphp.exe. I was successful in upgrading the PHP and Mysql but when I do the same with apache, the server does not start. I have done all the necessary changes to the conf files etc. Can anybody help me with this problem?

You can't upgrade Apache without EasyPHP, or you can uninstall EasyPHP and keep only Apache, PHP and MySQL ;)

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if there is a location from where I can download the source code so I can make the necessary changes to customize easyphp to my requirements and compile it.

Earlier I could download the source code from easyphp.org but now I dont see any links for the same.

Unfortunatly, source code is not available to download... but you can use the latest manager from EasyPHP 5.3.0 ;)

Why use EasyPHP if you know Apache, PHP, MySQL and phpMyAdmin ?

I am bundling easyPhp and my code files into an executable that can be installed on a laptop to create a standalone web application.

The executable I create will install all the required software namely apache,mysql and php and my code files. Using the Easyphp.exe creates the shortcut in the Program Files Menu and also an icon in the task tray that the servers are up and running.

I had customized the easyphp.exe appropriately to do all this. This way the user can install my application on a laptop with just a click and use it in the field where connectivity is really poor and later synch thier data to the main server. This works fine with Easyphp 1.3 when the source code was available.
