Mysql mysqlclose error

I had no problems with EasyPHP 3.0 (Win XP SP3) when testing my site with Apache
I had to update to EasyPHP 3.1 and the Windos error message ...

« Apache HTTP Server a rencontré un problème et doit fermer. Nous vous prions de nous excuser pour le désagrément encouru.»

.....occurs just after a « mysqlclose » instruction.
Making this instruction a comment solves the problem

I found somewhere another message of somebody having the same problem in the same conditions.

Bug ? Programmation error ?
