HTACCESS not working vista 32

vista Ultimate 32

I am having the very same problem as you I have the three usual solutions active in the default config but .htaccess is being ignored.

LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
AllowOverride All
AccessFileName .htaccess

All of these are unchecked but .htaccess does nothing.
Is there a solution to the problem ??
Or have I over looked something ??

I do not know what I done I have done so many differant things to get it working.
But it now works so cannot help anyone withthe same problem.

I had the same problem..

In the httpd.conf I've changed
"AllowOverride All"
for Directories.
