Hi everyone,

I've been getting this error when trying to access PHPMyAdmin:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)


It's been going on ever since I upgraded to EasyPHP 3. (was running version 2 before) Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks.

You must use root password : "mysql"

Hi Amour,

Thanks for the quick response. I tried using the following two lines in my PHPMyAdmin config file and neither worked. (wasn't sure which var they use for password) I still got the same error.

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['pass'] = 'mysql';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'mysql';

New error is "(using password: YES)" or also "(using password: NO)" ?

If NO, you must change another var ;)

It's still reporting "NO." What other var will I need to change?

I don't understand why that error, because a fresh install works perfectly ;)

PS : did you removed old version before new install ?
