problem with build in phpmyadmin

i install the easyphp its working just fine.... i alter the www and mysql/data/ to another hard drive partion (i have my old work and dbase saved there), its working wonderfully fine... better than the prev ver 2.0 however when i click the menu to open phpmyadmin... it kept open 127.0.0.1/mysql/ which is not exist.... and not to mention that i try to install phpmyadmin manually in the www folder, it wont enter... keep saying that

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

i try to remove the default mysql password in my.ini it not work, i try to keep the my.ini file as its original and change the phpmyadmin config file add password setting to mysql.... its also dont work....

anyone know why and how to fix this?
